In fact they love it so much that the feathers do not last long but give our cats great exercise!! The feathers are easily changed out which make s the toy even more special!Pros Entices the cats to play – the feathers are durable and last a long time. Even our most quiet and reserved cat come alive when this toy in introduced to them! Cons No Cons to this toy at all! By SPS Denver, ColoradoNew Favorite November 1, 2021I have super playful kitty (6 yr. old) and this fishing pole style bumped up playtime. She runs/jumps until she’s panting and wants more. She actually begs to play, but then we have to go to work. She needs a friend, but this will do for now.Pros Cord doesn’t tangle sturdy turkey feathers swap out/replacement “bait” By Katt Agoura, CABest Cat Toy EverApril 2, 2017Both my cats love this toy. They share it as I swing it back and forth; first one will bat at it and than the second cat will bat at it (no fighting)By Jackie MichiganAlways a favorite toy!March 31, 2017This is our fifth or sixth purchase of da bird. It provides plenty of entertainment and exercise for our two large cats. I keep it out of reach because while one cat insists on biting through the elastic string to carry the bird away, the other one simply likes to ‘catch and release’. So, it’s supervised play only for us.By Jane C. Anchorage AlaskaDa BirdMarch 24, 2017Da Bird has been rated the number one favorite cat toy for many years. We were pleased to get a new one and interested in trying some of the others as displayed on the wrapper.By azcowgirl Phoenix, AZcatch the bird!January 9, 2017My cats and my new kitten love this feather wand toy…..keep them entertained!By DancinDi Lansing, MichAerobic interactive toyDecember 24, 2016I am glad to see these again. My two Siamese love to take turns catching the flying, slinking, limping ‘bird’ so much that I have to limit their time when they jump and twist too much to catch it. My cats are 8 and 17 yrs.I was fortunate enough to meet one of the developers at a cat show many years ago, and she showed me the figure eight flying pattern and we added some hopping and limping. She told me to use the undyed feather birds when I could find them. Cats smell the difference between the dyed and undyed. Love the product. I have never had any breakage because we play with it together and the bird goes into its “cage” when it is caught a few times.By Edith Hong KongReview for Da Bird Cat ToyJuly 9, 2016My two cats love this da bird toy. They keep asking my family to play with them. High quality and I will definitely re-purchase againBy Loves c. FloridaNeeds to be tougherDecember 19, 2015My kitten loves da bird but since she is a kitten she’s rough on toys and tore the feathers off within first week. I had to buy her another oneBy Rikki Carlsbad, caLove da birdJune 28, 2015This is the best toy I have found for my omne year old Maine coon cat. He jumps so high to catch it that it wears him out so he sleeps all nite. He drags it around the house so someone will ay with him. I love it and so does my cat.By ML DelawareBest Cat Toy EverApril 2, 2015My cats LOVE this toy. It really mimics a bird flying and they go nuts trying to catch it.By KatS Gloucester, VABest cat toy!March 21, 2015This is the best cat toy ever. My cats cannot resist chasing it. This is great way to burn off excess energy for cats house-bound by bad weather outside. This has saved a lot of wear & tear on the household furnishings. The only problem is that no feather refills are available.By Big R. Gaithersburg, MDMy favorite cat toyJanuary 27, 2015I love this cat toy. I’ve been looking for one like this for a long time as my old one broke. It’s fun to play with the cats and get them running and jumping–great exercise. And the feathers handle well as compared to some too heavy items on “fishing rod” toys.By Gramma G. Exercise funJanuary 24, 2015Even my senior cats can’t resist this “bird”! It lasts for weeks as long as one of them doesn’t capture it. It is great fun for me as well as the cats.By Spark Toledo, OHGreat while it lastsDecember 13, 2014My cat LOVED this toy, but it didn’t last very long. Within a short amount of time, she had the feathers pulled out of the red rubber cap that they were glued into. But it did flutter just like a bird when you waved it thru the air which my cat really loved. My cat is on the small side of the spectrum, and just 1 year old.By tvcatrescue Long Island, NYGreat Cat ToyAugust 14, 2014This is the all time favorite cat exerciser. Even our laid-back tabby cat gets moving with this one.One of our cats is the most active and managed to dislodge the feathers. Repair is easy with adrop or two of crazy glue to hold the feathers back in place.Better yet, add a replacement when you order.By Dog Cat F. Portland, ORDa BirdMarch 26, 2014The two cats loved it! They think it is a real bird flying in the house and loved playing with it. Great exercise for the two cats.By bgfuqua Great toyFebruary 17, 2014Two cats love this. Got replacement birds tooBy Jennajon AZ USAItem was broken-but used as a refillFebruary 6, 2014The “stick” (Which is really metal) was bent and broken when it arrived, so the feather only was used as a refill for another DaBird. My cats LOVE these things, they last about a week before they are destroyed.By Kent Franklin, TNDa Bird cat toyNovember 23, 2013I ordered Da Bird from Entirely Pets after I was unable to find it locally. I had several from years earlier, but they were worn out. When I received Da Bird from .com, I unpacked it and our cats took to it immediately like no other toy we’ve ever had for them.By zawieco Da BirdNovember 5, 2013Not strong enough for Bengals! My cats had plenty of interest in this toy, but destroyed it in the blink of an eye. Also, when they grab onto the bird and pull, the handle comes apart.By Pet L. MichiganLoved this ToyAugust 27, 2013Both my cats can’t get enough of playing with this toy. The feathers are perfect for getting their attention and when outside I plant it in a flower pot and it twirls around with the breeze and the cats play on their own. Love this toy…will purchase another when this one gets bad.By Cat m. Da Bird is Da best!!July 23, 2013We’ve had many, many Da Bird toys & this is by far our cats’ favorite. They will chase it until they are exhausted. It flutters like a real bird & drives them crazy. Love it!!By Cynthia So. San Francisco, CAGoing to order back upsJuly 17, 2013My cats, a 13-yr. old, and a 1 1/2 yr. old, love this toy — no matter what age, they love it. And, it gets all the energy out of them, too, so good toy. The string sometimes wears out before the toy, but I’ve had to replace the feather toy because they get it in their teeth and won’t let go. Great toy By Roobcuub Awesome toyJune 2, 2013My cats LOVE this toy. It is a great way to play and get them to burn some energy. Also great way to bond with new cats esp if they are rescues and a little skittish.By badkitty06 Rochester, NYBEST cat toyMarch 3, 2013My 5 cats went nuts over this toy!!!!! They can’t get enough of itBy CAWSCatFoster Draper, UTExcellentFebruary 25, 2013I have foster kittens and my own cats. They all love Da Bird, even my older cat. Although, be careful where you store it. I put mine in the pantry and they got the door open one night, and I had to buy another one. Every night, my Xena cries to play with Da Bird. She knows where I store it and watches when I get close to the drawer. All the kitties love it!! They all come out to play, and they have a blast! I have had to buy several refill Da Birds also.By andy Review for Da Bird Cat ToyFebruary 12, 2013Cats really like this toy. It is holding up rather well. After 1 month of play by 4 cats, one of tip of feathers has broken off, but honesty i would have thought it would have been detroyed by now.By mccom DA BIRD IS DA BOMB!January 1, 2013my 2 kitties absolutely LOVE playing w/ this toy! swing your arms around the room while holding the end of the toy to simulate a flying bird–your kitty(s) will go nuts trying to capture the “bird”! yes you’ll look like a dork…but isn’t it worth it to make them happy? bonus: it gives them a workout. this is the BEST toy!By Dolphynia Lansing, MIMy cats go nuts for this toyOctober 23, 2012I have to hide this toy when I’m not playing with my cats because they love it so much, they would take it out of its package and carry da bird around in their mouths as a trophy – even if they didn’t hunt for it.I bought one for a friend who has a couple of cats and they love it too!View All 35 Reviews
