Next, we pre-soak the pit to simulate saturated ground conditions.Then, we fill the pit and measure the rate at which the water level falls.Finally, we calculate infiltration rates and prepare a structured report.The £850 vat provides a trial pit of 1.2mtr depth by 400mm x 40mm as a minimum in hand diggable conditions. Our hole stops if the ground is impenetrable by hand digging. This costs is based on hand digging with the client providing water for the test. Excavators are not included in this cost and can be provided at additional costs.
